Written and directed by Academy Award nominee Ava DuVernay, the feature film ORIGIN chronicles the remarkable true journey of Pulitzer Prize winning author Isabel Wilkerson as she embarks on a quest to find the origins of injustice. Her search takes her across the world - from Berlin, Germany to Delhi, India. While this sweeping tale embraces the scope and scale of Isabel’s global investigation, ORIGIN also tracks a triptych of intimate and devastating personal losses. As she embarks on writing her book, Isabel endures the deaths of the three closest people in her life within a short period - her mother, her husband and her best friend. The trauma of her grief alongside her professional quest to identify the nature of our divisions collide in emotionally powerful and revelatory ways. ORIGIN asks us to go beyond the surface historically, culturally and personally to investigate the root of our feelings about the world, each other and ourselves.

Costumes for this role are time period appropriate and size specific. It is important that you provide your accurate sizes.

Please note that you will most likely need to be clean-shaven or mustache only for this scene.

During costume fittings, you may be asked to shave or have your hair cut to achieve a period look. Anyone given a haircut will receive an extra payment.

This scene is set in the 1950's so no modern hairstyles, colors, braids,
locs, dreads, weaves, etc. Please grow out hair.

• 🚙 Vehicle: Transportation not provided. You must have reliable transportation to and from Covid testing, fitting, and filming date.

• Must be willing to work as local, no additional gas or travel bumps.
